22 years ago, we opened Portofino on a quiet, tree-lined street in Buckhead with a simple menu and the simple purpose to be a genuine neighborhood restaurant. We've grown and adapted over the years with some successes and some struggles. It is now time for Portofino to close its doors.
It's been a pleasure.
Our staff has been an extended family since the beginning. We are humbled when we consider the effort and dedication that so many have given over the years. These individuals chose to come together and share a part of their lives, with us and each other, to create a special place and so many special memories. We are proud and will always be of what this group has accomplished and maintained.
To our guests, it's been our privilege to serve, it’s been our privilege to celebrate your joys as well as mourn your sorrows. Thank you for allowing us to be a part of commemorating them all. The romance, the fun, the laughter, the years, the tears, everything. You've been a part of our family's story, and we are pleased to have been a small part of yours.
Our decision to close has not come easily. Change is inevitable and sometimes heartbreaking. As the world around us changes, we find ourselves facing conditions that challenge our once simple purpose.
Our last day will be October 22. Come see us before we leave. We’re operating with limited reservations and the best way to book your last experience with us is online.
Thank you for your support these many years.
